SO here is my way to make a backdrop cake. I know several of you have asked about this. Its my baby and I've been using this method for over 20 years so it is with some trepidation that I hand over my knowledge to all and sundry! Dont get me wrong I know that I am not the only person to use this but I know I am in a minority! I hope you find this useful - the possibilities are totally ENDLESS! A sports cake with crowd scene? tick An underwater adventure? tick!planets stars space and aliens? Tick!Seaside scene? Tick! See what I mean! I only ever use cooled boiled water on my boards to stick the fondant -its never (fingers crossed!) failed me yet!
